The project for the modernization of the Salerno-Reggio Calabria concerns the construction of a new route with total length of 443 km. The project is divided into 62 actions (12 macro-lots, 44 individual lots, 6 interchanges).
Piacentini Ingegneri was involved in the design of modernization and compliance to standards C.N.R. of the existing road, the area with very arduous mountain involves the design of bridges, tunnels and important works of support, upstream and downstream of the highway.
MACRO-LOT 0
• Maximum design speed 120 km / h.
• Carriageway Type 1 / A – Highway (in agreement with the CNR/80).
• Section with separated carriageway: 3+3 lanes plus an emergency lane in each direction; total width of 25.00 m.
